TSFRS was dispatched as a Rapid Intervention Team to Spruce St in the City of Reading to assist RFD on a working structure fire involving multiple row homes on Monday morning November 13. Rescue 85 arrived on location, reported to Command and personnel were immediately put to work while the RIT was covered by Command. Personnel were directed to pull an additional hoseline off of Reading Engine 5 and stretched to the rear of the fire building. Personnel performed extinguishment and overhaul operations both on Side C and the interior.

Once their SCBA cylinders were depleted, R85 was released by Command and returned to the Township. The station was manned by volunteer personnel in the interim.
