The Township of Spring is seeking applicants for an eligibility list for the position of full-time Firefighter/EMT, with projections of hiring six (6). TSFRS is a progressive and professional combination career-volunteer system providing skilled EMS, Fire Suppression, Haz-mat Response, Technical Rescue, Fire Code Enforcement, Fire Investigation and Public Education/info services. To be considered, applicants MUST meet the following MINIMUM requirements:

· High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in Fire Rescue Services operations in a career, volunteer or combination department.

· Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record (if out of state license must obtain PA Driver’s license within 6 months of hire)

· EVOC – (16 hour course is required)

· NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter II

· NIMS 100, 200, 700,800

· NFPA 472 Haz-Mat Operations Certification

· PA Department of Health Vehicle Rescue (or equivalent as solely determined by the Fire Chief)

· EMT Certification (Pennsylvania or PA reciprocal state)

· Healthcare Provider CPR with AED

Preferred Requirements (must be obtained within 6 months of hire if you do not have at time of hire):

· Firefighter Survival

· NFPA 1006 Rescue Core Certification

· Candidates will also be required to be able to meet all job function requirements per NFPA 1582 (2022 Edition), including successful completion of a Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT) or provide certification of successful completion of a CPAT from a licensed CPAT facility within the past 6 months.

· Candidates selected for hire will be required to pass an NFPA 1582 physical (2022 Edition) and successfully complete a Criminal Background Check, FBI Fingerprint, Child Abuse clearance and drug / alcohol screening after a conditional offer of employment is made.
