| Just before 0300 Rescue 85 was dispatched to assist Company 64 with an accident with entrapment on Penn Ave. Upon arrival R85 met with command and was given a vehicle that hit head on into a bridge with heavy intrusion of the front of the car onto the driver. Crews from Rescue 64, Rescue 85, and Engine 69 worked for 45mins to free the driver who’s legs were enveloped in the drivers compartment and the dashboard. Crews used multiple Hurst E-draulics to cut, spread, and push their way into the patients leg before freeing him to place him in care with Western Berks EMS. |
