Around 1:30 PM on Wednesday July 3, TSFR Engine 85 was dispatched to the Berkshire Mall at 1665 State Hill Rd.in Wyomissing Borough as part of a full structure assignment for a possible fire. E85 was assigned by Command to stand by a hydrant at the corner of the former Sears store and be prepared to provide an attack line. Interior personnel found a haze in the space which was eventually traced to a possible malfunction in a light ballast.

Accordingly, Command reduced the assignment to Stations 79, 85, and 64 to complete ventilation, after which E85 took up and returned..
