On Monday June 2, TSFRS Rescue 85 responded as part of a mutual aid rescue assignment with the Western Berks FD for a vehicle crash with entrapment and rollover in the 4200 block of Penn Avenue in neighboring Sinking Spring Boro.

While R85 was enroute, WBFD Engine 18-2 arrived on location and confirmed confinement with a need to remove the windshield for patient access. Upon arrival, R85 established blocking in the driving lane and the crew stabilized the vehicle with Res-Q-jacks. Members then stood fast while the windshield was removed.

At this time, it was determined the patient was unable to exit the vehicle. Therefore R85 and R18 members flapped the roof and assisted with extricating the patient onto a stretcher and into the care of Western Berks EMS. R85 crew demobilized and gathered their equipment and was released by Command.
