The focus for May’s training was Engine Company Operations. The first Monday (May 2) featured a presentation on Firefighting in Sprinklered Occupancies and was presented by the National Fire Sprinkler Association. The training was done in two sessions, one in the afternoon and one in the evening to accommodate different groups. Both were attended by approximately 20-25 persons from TSFR and Wyo FD as well as mutual aid guests from Shillington, Cumru, Reading and Western Berks Fire.

May 9 featured Drafting and Tanker Operations using WBFD’s Tanker 18 and Spring’s Tanker 85. The tankers filled a portable pond and were refilled by an engine at draft. In addition, TN85 was used from a hydrant to supply attack lines in fulfillment of annual requalification requirements. Finally the drill on May 16 used leader lines and hose packs as well as master streams to complete annual pump qualification training.

The drill focus for June will be on Truck Company Operations.
