| Our regular Monday night drill topic on July 28 was pump operator certification for some of our apparatus operators. The drill consisted of Engine 85 on the station parking lot flowing a hose line equipped with a foam proportioner, a 2" attack line and a master stream appliance. The engine was supplied by Tanker 85 on a hydrant at the station ramp pumping a 5" supply line.
When these evolutions were completed, the engine and tanker were replaced with Rescue 85 which was connected to the hydrant and operated a hand hose line. In addition to operating as a heavy rescue truck, Rescue 85 is also set up to function as a fully capable engine company. |
