The regular Monday night drill on February 9 focused on EMS equipment carried on Western Berks EMS medic units. Dave Stemler from WBEMS brought a medic unit to the station and explained the location and operation of several items found on board. TSFRS units routinely run with WBEMS on medical calls, and it helps to occasionally review the storage, setup and operation of the more important and frequently used gear.

Items covered included the exterior compartment stowage such as back boards and Reeves litters, main patient litter, stair chair, medical bags, Lucas automatic chest compression device, and defibrillator among other things.

The program will be repeated for other shifts for the remainder of the week.

Our thanks to Dave and WBEMS for making the opportunity possible.
