| The members of the Township of Spring Fire Rescue Service express our deepest sympathy to the families of Walnuttown Fire Co. Chief Jeff Buck and Asst. Chief Robert Shick, who were tragically killed in the line of duty on Saturday April 4, 2026. Chief Buck and Asst. Chief Shick were operating a UTV while engaging in a search for a missing person when their vehicle was struck by a car along Rte. 222 in northern Berks County.
We would also like to express our heartfelt condolences to our brothers and sisters from Company 32 who are left to carry on the legacy of their departed fire service family.
While no words can fully express the depth of compassion or ease the pain of loss, please know that others are there for you. We mourn with you, shed tears with you and stand by you all at this time. |
