| On Monday morning April 27, TSFRS responded to the second greater alarm fire assist to Reading in two days as Engine 85 was assigned to a second alarm working fire on Palm Street near Albright College. Rescue Engine 85 responded in place of the engine from another call. Upon arrival, personnel gathered equipment and reported to the fireground. where they were assigned to overhaul and salvage on the 3rd floor of the residence. When those tasks were completed, the crew reported to staging and were subsequently released.
The previous day, Rescue Engine 85 assisted on another 2nd alarm working fire on Thorn Street. RE85s crew was assigned to perform a secondary search of the fire building and check for extension. In the process, members successfully found and rescued a pet in a 2nd floor bedroom. RE85s crew reported back to command and was placed in rehab until released. |
