| A possible fire involving the porch of a residence on Wellington Blvd in neighboring Wyomissing Boro on Thursday afternoon June 4, had TSFRS Engine 85 responding as part of full structure assignment, assisting Company 79.
E85 arrived at a 2-story residence with light smoke from the front porch. The crew stretched a hose line and discovered a burning planter box that had extended to the siding and underside of a second-floor balcony. The area was well wet down and opened up to ensure that there had been no fire extension into the residence. Crews also checked the interior to find a slight odor of smoke on the second floor due to an open window that allowed smoke inside. Residence was ventilated accordingly and the company subsequently released by Command. |
