| On Monday afternoon July 27, TSFRS was dispatched to Rte 222 in the area of the Adamstown exit for a reported truck fire. In addition, Wyomissing FD Engine 79 and Adamstown E11 (Lancaster Co) were also assigned. Cumru Twp Tanker 42 was then special called by Captain 85.
E85 arrived and found the wheels on the truck were on fire and were lightly smoking. The assignment was held to E85 and E79 and personnel wet down the area. Fire Police provided traffic control around the work area. The trailer itself was checked with a thermal imager and was found to be cool, indicating no extension. The trailer was left with the driver who arranged for towing services.
Units were released with no further services rendered. |
