..and the theme for this year's Fire Prevention Week is Lithium-Ion Battery Safety. Rechargeable battery-operated devices have become a regular fixture in our homes, workplaces and highways, the battery systems generally involve lithium-ion batteries. These items pose serious fire safety concerns and as such have garnered serious attention from the fire safety community.
So much so that the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has chosen the topic as its theme for their 2026 Fire Prevention Week Sponsorship.
