| TSFRS Engine 85 was dispatched to assist Shillington Company 36 as part of a second alarm assignment for a working structure fire on Saturday afternoon September 19.
When E85 arrived, it was advised to go enter the back alley to make access to the rear of the dwelling. The company obtained a water supply from Cumru Rescue Engine 42 located in the front via a 3" hose line between the homes. Kenhorst Engine 69 also laid a 5" supply down the alley, but it was never charged.
E85 members stretched a 200' 2" attack hose line from E85 and also used a hose line that was stretched to the rear by RE42 to knock down the fire on the back side of the dwelling. The fire was placed under control and E85 crew continued to wet down and overhaul the patio area and deck area.
Once overhaul was complete, E85 was released by command and returned. |
