| During the week of October 5, 2nd graders from the Cornwall Terrace, Spring Ridge and Whitfield Elementary Schools in the Wilson School District visited the station. This is a continuation of our annual program of providing hands on fire safety education to every 2nd grade student in the district. Each student got the chance to visit our Kids Safety House and learn firsthand how to stay safe in the home and what to do when they encounter smoke in their house. Every child also got the chance to use our 911 simulator to call for help and talk to a dispatcher to report an emergency.
This week successfully concluded our 2026 2nd Grade Program for the Wilson School District. Approximately 500 students plus teachers and other visitors attended.
