Just before 7am on Saturday October, TSFRS personnel and equipment were dispatched to Rte. 222 for a vehicle fire just past the Grings Hill Rd /Mohnton exit reported as a pickup truck on fire.
Engine 85 responded and arrived with a working fire in the vehicle. The crew pulled the bumper attack line and immediately set about extinguishment. After the fire was knocked down and overhauled the company was released and returned to quarters. As was the case on 222 the previous day, this was located in the Cumru Twp portion of the highway. As such Cumru Twp FD Station 42 was also on the assignment and also operated. |
