Wyo FD Ladder 79 and TSFR Rescue Engine 85 responded to Route 222 northbound in Wyomissing Borough on Wednesday March 8 for a reported vehicle fire. As L79 was entering the highway County Communications advised that the State Farm Safety Patrol was on location and reported a working vehicle fire.

L79 arrived , confirmed the report and stretched their bumper hose line to attack the fire. RE85 arrived and handled water supply plus assisted L79s crew. Personnel continued to work the scene to overhaul and cool the remainder of the vehicle.

The assignment was released following overhaul and repacking of the bumper line from L79. Fire Police remained on scene assisting PD with traffic.
