TSFR Engine 85 and Wyo FD Ladder 79 responded to Spring Crest Ct in Sinking Spring on a mutual aid structure fire assignment assisting Western Berks FD on Wednesday afternoon November 1. WBFD Deputy 18-1 reported smoke showing on the approach and declared a working fire on arrival.

E85 arrived as the first engine and dropped a 5" supply hose from the hydrant at Spring Crest Blvd. & Blanbrid Dr. to the front of the building. E18-2 arrived and picked up E85's hose and supplied water throughout the incident. Captain 85 forced the front door. E85s nozzleman deployed a 2" crosslay and knocked down all visible fire from the front of the building. The hoseline was then moved to inside of the residence and all fire was extinguished. E85s Technician threw a ground ladder on the B side of the building and assisted with manpower throughout the incident.

L79 arrived and set up on the A side while the crew assisted with fire attack of the first floor. When possible to do so, members then performed a primary search of the second and third floor. All searches were negative and the crew opened up as they went. L79s acting technician went to the roof and took out the third-floor front windows as needed.
