Captain Derrick Nester Funeral Services

On May 18, TSFR members participated in paying homage to our departed brother, Captain Derrick Nester from the Wyomissing Borough Fire Department, who passed away suddenly on May 6 as a Line of Duty Death.

18 TSFR members were honored to serve as pall bearers, casket guards, flag folders and uniformed mourners at the funeral, which included services at St. Paul’s UCC Church in Amityville, gravesite ceremony at the Limerick Garden of Memories Cemetery, and the motor procession between the two. TSFR personnel also assisted in the planning and logistics of the event.

While TSFR was tied up all day with the funeral, Station 85 was covered by an engine company graciously provided by our brothers from the Lebanon Fire Department and our deepest thanks go out to them as well.
