Early Friday morning August 1, TSFRS Engine 85 was dispatched to Palisades Drive in Bern Township on a mutual aid structure fire assignment. The fire was reported to be a truck burning within 10 ft of a structure.
Muhlenberg Chief 66 arrived on location and reported a fully involved pickup truck with exposures to a camper and a garage. E85 arrived and assumed the first arriving engine duties. Members deployed the front bumper hose line and initiated fire attack. Capt. 85 and Ladder 79s crew checked for extension into the garage with none found other than external damage.
With the fire extinguished and overhauled, E85 was released by Command when all equipment was secured and released by CH66.
