| TSFRS Engine 85 responded to in neighboring Cumru Twp on Tuesday January 13 as part of a mutual aid assignment for a reported house fire on Gilbert Ave.
E85 arrived on location and proceeded to deploy 250' of 5" supply line up the driveway of the home. Once at the residence, E85 reported a 2 ½ story dwelling with nothing showing from the front. After a circle of the building. Captain 85 reported smoke showing from the garage.
Accordingly, E85s personnel pulled an attack hoseline and entered the residence. Once inside members found a working stove/oven fire with extension to the microwave above it, the backsplash, and the cabinets adjacent to the stove. The crew applied a pressurized water extinguisher stream until hoseline could be put into service which extinguished the fire. The area around the oven was overhauled and all extension was extinguished, after which E85 stood by with further nor services required |
