A vehicle fire was reported on Rte. 222 near the Mohns Hill Road exit on Friday morning October 30. TSFRS Rescue Engine 85 responded and arrived on scene to find a passenger vehicle well involved in fire on the side of the road in the northbound lanes. The fire actually occurred in the Cumru Twp section of the highway and as such Cumru FD Station 42 was also enroute.
RE85 stretched the bumper mounted hose and provided the initial attack. They were soon joined by Cumru Tanker 42 who supplied additional water and assisted with fire suppression and overhaul.
