Around dawn on Friday morning April 14, TSFR Rescue 85, Western Berks EMS and Fire Police responded to a vehicle versus pole accident on State Hill Rd at Colony Dr on the Spring/Wyo border. Arriving units found one occupant unresponsive with all doors locked and unable to be opened. The assignment was upgraded to an entrapment which added Wyo FD Ladder 79. A nearby PPL pole was found sheared and dangling by the wires.

Crews forced a door and were able to provide patient access for EMS personnel. Members assisted EMS with patient extrication and fluid control. BCCC was provided with the PPL pole number to alert the utility. After the patient was transported and all hazards controlled, the companies returned with the exception of Fire Police who provided traffic control.
